Brothers and sisters, some time ago I saw a photograph of Myrtle Gardens showing my grandmothers flat, and obviously those above and below, but they appeared to have been severely damaged, presumably bomb damage, I have never heard mention of this in family stories and am puzzled (also puddled).
It may well have been on brother Ged's site, and I neglected to note it properly, however I am hopeful that someone may be able to help me out once again.
It's too late for my little grey cells bretheren, but I feel certain some of you are able to function fully after the recent festive frolicing.
Hasta la vista, amigos.

Brother Ged, once again you made like Quick Draw Magraw and I am grateful for your endeavours as always.
However, the picture I was seeking (and I've trawled everywhere I could think of to look) was not among those you selected, the view was almost identical to the one of Mr. Colin Wilkinson's ( the corner of Myrtle St. and Melvile Place) only showing the blast damage.
I did find out that the bomb/s killed 9 people and injured several others in Oct. 1940, and my Grandmother and other family members may well have been in the shelter in the square .
I'll keep at it, every time I try and do something it improves my proficiency to a tiny degree, but it is frustrating!!
Auf wiedershen bruder Ged, und danke schoen.

Quite a few members of the Doyle family lost their lives in Myrtle Gardens.
