I was getting drenched walking around the dock on satuday and there was alot of attention to a boat that looks like it has sunk. Any info on it?
I know the pics are poor, but you should be used to that from me by now lol
Also, what is the thing in the middle of the dock ? (the third pic)

I was down there on Friday. British Waterways (?) had placed a surface barrier on the water above the sunken boat but the oil/fuel, whatever, had seeped out into the dock and it stank. It seems to have sunk in situ - I couldn't see any signs of damage caused by being hit by another craft. Maybe the yellow Duck thing laid into it.

It's Ai Weiwei's Fountain of Light (http://www.arup.com/unitedkingdom/newsitem.cfm?pageid=9772)

according to a diver mate who was helping with the lifting, the owners wife pumped the bilges out BUT left the hose in the water. So over a period the water syphoned back in and the boat sank!
Apparently it was originally owned by mountbatten.
