This is probably a really daft question, but none the less I'd be glad if somebody could help.

My mate has got some photographs on his PC that somebody emailed him (JPEG images). He has asked me if it is possible to save these onto an SD Memory Card. I.E the one from his digital camera.

I really don't know too much about this sort of thing so any advice would be appreciated.

As far as I know you cannot do this, but I'm sure somebody here can tell me more.

its the same as getting the images off of the memory card when u have taken them on the camera but in reverse.

locate the images on the pc, copy/ cut them and paste them onto the memory card when windows recognises it and opens it up once the camera has been detected by the pc.

That is correct, remember that the you need an SD reader on your PC and it will show up as an additional drive, so if you have the normal C: drive and a cd drive as D: the card reader depending on how many slots it has will be
drives E,F,G etc. The easy way is to copy the jpgs to a blank dir on your pc
say a directory called, pix, then from the command line just change to that dir
and enter copy *.*.jpg E: E being your SD card
