:lfc: Sad but probably inevitable, Robbie Fowler is playing for the last time at Anfield on Sunday, as there will be no new contract for him. Good luck Robbie, YNWA

I didn't think Robbie got the playing time he could have but he provided good service for the club during the season nonetheless. Thanks, Robbie, and good luck to you, mate!

Personally think he was living on borrowed time from 1997 onweards when Owen came on the scene. He was awesome from 1993-7 but lost a yard after an injury picked up then., then seemed to feel under pressure from Owen suddenly being the glory boy. Having said that since his return there have been occasions when he could have done no worse than Crouch or Bellamy.

A class act, always was and always will be.:handclap: :handclap: :handclap:

I'd love to see him come over here and finish his career in North America.

As you probably know, he was rumoured a few months ago to have been going to join the New England Revolution (http://usasoccerspot.blogspot.com/search/label/Steve%20Nicol), coached by ex-Red Steve Nichol.

Yeah I remember Chis. I'd love to see him up here playing for the MSL "Reds" Toronto FC but even if he went to play in New England we'd still get a bus load of Scousers to go down there.

I've had the opportunity to meet Mo Johnson a couple of times, I've been burning his ear off about making Robbie an offer.........we can only dream eh ?:)

Fowler is a Liverpool player in heart and soul. I will really miss watching him play at Anfield Road. Does anyone have any update on where he will be playing football next season? Will he playing in the US? I sure hope not.

He's actually on holiday in the US with his family at the moment. It said on Radio City this morning that Rangersand Celtic were going to fight it out for his signature. Fowler has played as a guest for Rangers in a testimonial so I;d guess he'd more likely go there.

So he's now signed for Cardiff. I wish him well but do think he'll struggle with the physical demands of that level.

I'm sad to see him go but feel privileged to have seen him back in the red of Liverpool if only for a season.

Thanks, Robbie, for everything!

I think he'll be fine in the first division to be honest. He'll be better suited than to the Prem.

Anyway Robbie, lad, thanks for the fantastic memories, YNWA :lfc:

I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up top scorer in that league. He'll still be a class above most younger and fitter strikers.
