Last year i saw some idiots had set fire to a tree,

When Yuccas grow too big, it is recommended to burn them down to the ground.
Leave the ashes in place to provide nutrients and it'll grow back every time.
This is nature's way in hot countries.

Were the culprits about when you took the first photo?

That's one thing I hate to see - I hate vandalism to trees.
It's very sad to see trees burned. Trees deserve a special kind of respect.

Hi Drone Pilot, was the photo taken in the Kensington area by any chance? I used to live in Cambria Street in the early 90s for three or four years. had a chip pan fire there and had to put the cockatiel out in the street in his cage while I fought the blaze, well the chip pan.:eek:

That is just sad what vandals do to trees. I take onboard Philip's point about them having to be 'pollarded' or burned, once in a while. By tree surgeons and not by N*b Heads.

We should put vigilante signs on them :-

eg. "You toucha my Yuccas,,,, I smacka you gobs."

Hi Drone Pilot, thought as much. I lived in number 8 from january 93 to July 95 my dad worked in the rent office, he got me the house, wish he,d have paid the rent as well. Had some nice times there.:)
