I've been singing my head off tonight to a few Queen CD's and figured that we need a yoliverpool band.
Although I can play the piano and the trumpet, I'm much better at singing - anyone else in?

Yes I really was, many moons ago. I am MariaC but I met Marie from this site at our meet up in Weatherspoons a few months ago. The Vernons Girls were changed on a regular basis,,, he he he, according to wrinkles.
I met Ronnie and Albert Wyncherley (Billy Fury) When we did the Empire with Joe Brown. A long time ago. Jean Vincent was on so you can tell how old I am.

I used to play the bongos in an off-the-walls band called The Karmic Connection for a while. The singer had her hair rainbow-coloured and gave shelter to visiting Buddhist monks. She used to mix a potion in a human skull. No kidding. . . The other thing is I am a lyricist, and wrote the lyrics for the song "June" performed by my songwriting partner Erik Sitbon, the video of which is on my MySpace site (http://www.myspace.com/christophertgeorge). So if you want a Yo Liverpool song. . .

Marie, did one of the Vernon's girls (or one of their mums) live in Anfield for a time ? When I was a kid living in Wolverton st I sometimes used to play with a girl who told me her mum was a Vernons girl :)
I can't recall her name now.
Not sure if the girl lived there or was visiting her nan.
I'll do drums even though I can't play an Instrument.
I got board of the Guitar at 16.

I will join in, I can play guitar, banjo, mandolin and ukelele but not all at once.
I've had a guitar for a while but I could do with some proper lessons. Dawsons do them for £9 an hour which isn't bad.

Let's give it loads next week. Is there somewhere I can send songs/ do auditions ( on here) or do we just meet up in the Coffee house and then get thrown out ?
Just book a gig at a pub, they won't know any different :PDT_Aliboronz_24:

I've just been staring at this .. is it real or a set up ?? How can a kid that young play drums like that !! ? is it trick photography or something !
It's amazing how many people think the drums are easy then sit dumbfounded or bang away aimlessly when having a go :)
They usually come off wondering how you can have four limbs all doing different things in perfect time so fast.
I'd be one of those :unibrow:

I'd like to have been like Kenny Ball, he was always blowing his own trumpet.
