You just don't see them on the trucks these days. Years ago, trucks would have one of these either side of the cab. Another disappearing tradition.

He might be worth a few quid in years to come.

a long wheelbase transit, till the boss saw it and asked could he have it

Thanks for the pictures. I remember Michelin man, I was very child. Now Michelin do not use it in the publicity here.

Came across this old photo taken about 1946/47 of a few of the lads from Horrocks Ave\Island Rd\ Speke Rd Gardens, when we tried to form our own footbal team! That's what I miss - sitting in the back of a car and waving at the truckers going past - and shoving up two fingers when i didn't get a wave :PDT10
