You just don't see them on the trucks these days. Years ago, trucks would have one of these either side of the cab. Another disappearing tradition.
He might be worth a few quid in years to come.

sure don't see them anymore, I used to have one on the front grill of
a long wheelbase transit, till the boss saw it and asked could he have it

Thanks for the pictures. I remember Michelin man, I was very child. Now Michelin do not use it in the publicity here.

Came across this old photo taken about 1946/47 of a few of the lads from Horrocks Ave\Island Rd\ Speke Rd Gardens, when we tried to form our own footbal team! Area we played on is now the Highbank Drive housing estate, and I believe Garston Cof E School, or St John Almond RC School? :PDT_Aliboronz_24:

That's what I miss - sitting in the back of a car and waving at the truckers going past - and shoving up two fingers when i didn't get a wave :PDT10
