If you ever feel bad about poor pictures at the Cathedral (and these are really nice!!) then don't worry, it's almost impossible to get some decent pics because of the lighting. The last Cathedral book to come out by Barry Hale, he was up in the bell chamber and I was lucky enough to be on one of the bell ropes while he took a photo. To get the lighting correct, he used scaffolding and a massive flash - i.e. about 4 seperate bulbs dotted around the place.

Very nice pics.
After getting reasonable results of the stained glass in St George's Hall, I think I'd like to try the cathedral.
I assume it's OK to use a tripod?

Aye it's OK - if anyone moans at you, tell em you've dropped a couple of quid in the box on the way in - I think 'legally' you have to pay a quid to take photo's!
