The future of an iconic Liverpool department store will be decided in the
next 10 days, administrators say.

Lewis's has been trading as a going concern since February after owners
called in the receivers because of cashflow problems.

Negotiations have been taking place with an interested buyer, and
administrators from Kroll said they remained hopeful of selling.

But they said a sale must be agreed by 12 May - or the store would close.

Maybe they should sell more intresting things.

Not really gone In there to buy anything and not had anything since I was little Max. I've only gone In there to use their toilets and seeing what boxing equipment they have.

Theres only small sections of good stuff then the rest Is clothes and makeup on the ground floor and toys on the top floor.

I guess I must have been there when I was little, would be cool to see it now, see if it brought back any memories :)

“The floor originally contained both a cafeteria and a full waitress service restaurant called the Red Rose restaurant.

i remember haveing lunch with my mum there in the early 60's, i was about 6/7 years old at the time and was most impresed with the waitresses, (nothing changed still like a lady in uniform) LOL:hug:

I think it's still open.
It was supposed to close last weekend, unless a buyer could be found.
Hasn't there been anything in the news?
