D'you know what disgusted me about this guy?
I think it was in the last series, Cowell set him up with this 'odd lady', he agreed to go for a meal with her, then stood her up! They were all making fun of the situation—big laugh! Ridiculing people is not my idea of good television, the man is a low life!

Last week he really tried to embarrase this lady who had got through saying she only did because of the sympathy vote. He chose to do this when she was celebrating with members of her family :retard:

Reckon 19-years-old Chenai Zinyuku from Bradford is the best talent on the show. :)
I agree she has the talent but she wont win. The winner will be Shane, who is camp as christmas but sung a great song tonite.
The boy band fortune are great. Maria has massive, huge .....career ahead of her

Simon disowns The Conway Sisters
A TV insider revealed: "Simon and his team think The Conways are a nightmare. Their performances have been a disappointment - but the girls blame everyone else but themselves.
"Publicly he'll continue to give them his support. But privately, he has had enough."

Sometimes 'Fiestyness' isnt a good thing, the public dont warm to it.
So the final 12 have been selected for The X Factor. The show was full of scousers again with a group (Eaton RD) and Ray (Remember him from Brookside) in that final 12. They will begin singing live next week for your votes.
Why do the producers waste their time auditioning in Manchester when so many Liverpudlians get through?

LIVERPOOL acts Eton Road and Raymond Quinn have won through to the next stage of ITV talent competition the X-Factor.
Brookside actor Raymond, 18,
and boy band Eton Road survived Saturday's "Motown" show, the first where the wannabe stars had to sing live.
Raymond, who sang the Michael Jackson
ballad Ben, was supported by parents Val and Ray and other family members.
Val said: "He's really enjoying himself and we're going to go to London
every weekend to support him in the competition."
Eton Road took on the Temptations classic My Girl with teen band member Anthony Hannah on lead
vocals.Louis Walsh, who picked the group for the final, told them: "You're fantastic. Just what the UK wants."
They were described as "individual and
quirky" by judge Sharon Osbourne.
Simon Cowell also came out on their side, but described 17-year-old Anthony as odd.
But the teen kept his
cool and when presenter Kate Thornton asked why people should vote for them, he replied: "They should vote for us because we're odd."
This week the
11 remaining contestants will be singing Rod Stewart tracks.
* THE Sugababes, with Liverpool's Heidi Range, are the girl band of the 21st century
with more hit singles than any other all-female act in the past six years, researchers say.

ANT: I WAS A DUMPED TOT
By Lara Gould TV Reporter
X FACTOR hopeful Anthony Hannah has revealed how he was brought up by
his gran after being abandoned as a baby by his parents.
The singer with Eton Road barely saw his mum and dad when he was growing up. Mum Carol left
him with her mother-in-law, Henrietta Hannah, soon after he was born because she couldn't cope with bringing him up.
Anthony, 17, says he would have
been put into care - if his gran had not stepped in. "My parents split up when I was a baby," he said. "Thankfully I was taken in by my nan."
Anthony
still lives with Henrietta in her modest Liverpool semi. Also living there are his younger brother and three sisters - who were also left in their gran's
care by mum Carol and their dad, Anthony Snr.
But Anthony said Henrietta, 71, raised the children like they were her own, adding: "I couldn't have
wished for a better childhood."
He says his gran is "really amazing" and wants to win X Factor so he can buy her a new house.

If he wins it, it'll be his downfall, best not to win if you want a career long term. The exceptions are Will Young/ Girls

Thank goodness somebody else has said so! I was beginning to think the whole of Liverpool had undergone a musical taste by-pass operation. God bless them an all that - but there are hundreds of genuinely talented musicians and singers in this city that are head and shoulders over the lot of 'em. To quote my lovely departed Dad - who was a musician and singer - "they couldn't carry a tune in a bucket".

The whole show never had any credibility in the first place - but now you can see the manipulations going on - Robert was a good singer and if there is any justice he will always work in the music business. I can't even remember the name of the fella who won it last year - but Andy Abraham (who did not win) the ex-bin man has got a new single out (they play it on Smooth FM) and it's not half bad. I'm not watching anymore - it puts me in a bad mood!:disgust:

I was gutted Eton Road left the comp, they were great. I don't see how anyone can say they couldn't sing:rolleyes:
It is a cheesy programme, but it is so entertaining. Leona has a good voice, but the personality (and movements) of a damp muppet. Ben is overrated, so I want Ray to win. I've grown to quite like him and good on him for killing Emelda!!!
Raymond Quin, 'you'll Never Walk Alone' - Brilliant

Haha I remember that!
I don't watch X-Factor at all - unless it's on and I'm forced to watch it by she who must be obeyed but Ben has a really good voice and if they all released an album, he would be the only one I'd pick out of the last 3 (or whenever the results have come in)

I have to say I'm happy that Ben didn't get through to the final. If he makes it 'alone' it'll be down to his own voice, not because he was the next (in a long line) of the X-Factor.
One of the best song's I've heard in a long time was his version of 'I'll make it through the rain'. Class!
I just didn't get him at-all, reminded me of Tabby a few years ago, destined to sing at every christmas light turnon and supermarket opening for a few years

12-09-2006, 09:01 PM
I think he's really good but he's got an 'older style' voice - likened to Rod Stewart and the like so lots of people that are voting would go for the more pop sound.
But I'll have to shut up now incase anyone finds out I secretly watch X-Factor :gossip:

i thought it was awful, he was singing it wrong and out of tune in many sections of it, i cannot understand how he got through.
possibly the worst rendition of the song ive ever heard
No, it wasn't note for note perfect or sang by 40,000 LFC fans (much more out of tune as you know), but despite that, the emotion behind it was plain to see for all 8 million viewers.

Well, I don't watch it every week, I just catch a bit here and there. Had to come off the computer to watch it last night tho' - to see if Ray would get through.
He didn't sing well at all last night and I thought he sounded out of tune and very weak in parts ( he gained momentum towards the end tho') ...
but I was so glad that he won - just because he's 'one of our own' :celb (23): probably not fair, but you can't help wanting a fellow Liverpudlian to win!
The emotion won everyone over. That song must touch the hearts of every Scouser ...... not because of LFC so much - but because it's like an anthem for our city. Even Billy Butler commented on this - and he's an Evertonian.
Hearing it makes me feel Scouseproud and the raw emotion from Ray got him through.
After saying that, Leona is brilliant and is obviously a far superior singer.

i thought it was awful, he was singing it wrong and out of tune in many sections of it, i cannot understand how he got through.
He started it way off key. Ray has a tendency to sing sharp, rather than flat - he's often slightly 'above' the note rather than pitching it correctly. His voice is far too immature to attempt the kind of songs he's been singing and if he got himself a decent singing teacher, he/she would tell him exactly that! Neither does he listen to the orchestra properly - he anticipates their beat instead of keeping with them.
All said and done, it baffles me that he's lasted, as there were much better singers than him. Surely, he cannot beat Leona next week - that would be a travesty!!

It was bad, yet it got him through. The crying did it. I have noticed that all of them start off far too low. Whether this is deliberate by the sound men to get the zump at the end of the song I don't know.
The girl is going to scream through the final. Yet there was only 3% between the three of them last night.

Yea, up to now the sob stories are going down a treat. The Welsh are crying the Scots, the Scousers and the Brums. I,ve never seen such a cavelcade of mascara, and the girls are just as bad.
None of them are doing it for themselves, it,s because the dad,s cat is on its last or me brother,s rabbit told me to enter, or Molly Molone,s cart broke a wheel and I thought ,it,s a sign I,ve got to come on the show.
In my humble opinion most of them are immature and the opera singer is so conceited that that is the only reason why they put him in. To get the punters calling. The pounds should be rolling in now.
I won,t be watching anymore from now on because I think the best part of the show is over, the numbskulls who lined up in the begining.
