Kev, it's got to be 1986 (candy shirt) ?
In May 1986 Liverpool won the FA Cup after beating Everton by three goals to one in the final. The cup win completed a League and Cup double for the Reds that season under the guiding influence of player/manager Kenny Dalglish.
The very first all Merseyside derby FA Cup Final and the Reds were looking to complete the double. Everton were in their third consecutive final having won one and lost one and took the lead through Gary Lineker. A scintillating second half performance especially though from the Reds saw them run out three one winners as Rush bagged two and Johnston a goal between them. The double was Liverpool's!

FA CUP Final - Saturday 20th May 1989 - Everton
A final which saw the Reds win the FA Cup for the fans. The fourth win of all time for Liverpool but only after extra-time. The Reds got off to the perfect start when McMahon sent Aldridge through and he smashed the ball home from the edge of the box. The Reds dominated the game and really should have gone further ahead but failed to score. The game wore on though and Everton couldn't find a way through until the very last seconds of the game when they equalised through sub Stuart McCall. In to extra time and the Reds had their own sub scorer in Ian Rush. Rush being the true predator that he was ignored a shout from Houghton to put the Reds back into the lead again. That goal broke Dixie Dean's record but not Everton on the day. Stuart McCall scored a second equaliser for the Blues when he blasted home from the edge of the area through so many players.
The Reds weren't done though and Ian Rush again put the Reds into a lead. This time it wasn't to be pegged back. Rush put the deftest of touches on to a cross from the left and it sailed past Southall. As the final whistle finally blew hundreds of fans came on to the pitch in celebration. There was to be no lap of honour and the Reds had to quickly switch their thoughts to their last two league games but this day was special. Those fans who had gone to Hillsborough and not returned were granted the Cup they had gone to support the Reds winning over a month earlier.
