HI folks

I just finished reading a book called "A bowl full of scouse" by John Patrick Kerrigan.
At the tail end of the book he tells of the unearthing of a mass grave, over 3600 bodies found buried in St Oswald Street.

I used to live for a time in St Oswalds Gardens which was the block at the back of St Oswald House.

The author tells of a cover up in 1973 and I vaguely remember a fence going up around the green space to the left of the flats.

Does anyone remember this or have any other info ? Does anyone know of any books I might be able to get about the subject.

It was widely thought at the time that the bodies were of Irish immigrants and locals who had died of Typhus during the mass immigration of Irish people during the famine.

Thanks guys.
