Globe Tavern

In 1792, there was a Globe Tavern in St.John Street, Liverpool. There doesn't appear to be a St. John Street today, but there is a St. John's Lane of course. Could the street have been renamed?

There is a Globe pub at 17 Cases Street, Liverpool, Merseyside, L1 1HW. Any idea when that was built?
