Hello to all
Don't they bother running computer fairs anymore around here
there used to be regular meets at Aintree, Mountford Hall and Everton Sports
as well as Sutton leisure in St Helens.
Also does anyone know of decent shops to pick up used or at least reasonably priced parts for PC's
markets stalls or even boot sales and the likes

The Organiser is charging far too much to enter the computer fairs now,£4 to get in and the stalls holdes have diminished in numbers so there's no bargains to be had.
The cheapest place on merseyside is www.digitalpromo.co.uk its by the race course and its a 3 minute walk when you reach the bridge, lookitup on google map for directions.
You won't get cheaper anywhere else unless you go to manchester computer fair at Bowlers

check out digipromo's website. You can order online and go pick it up. It doesn't really have a shop so to speak, just a counter

But I wanted something more like the Bowlers in Manchester
I want to have a look around and see what is onoffer
that what was so good about the fair they held here
but as someone said.
if you took a couple of kids along with you
it could cost you a tenner or so
just to look around

As I said the Organiser got greedy,he upped the door entrance fee and at the same time the stall holders ground fee.
This then put the blockers on stall holders coming to Aintree,Everton Park because most people were not prepared to pay £4 to enter and so it ended up dwindling in numbers.
Mountford hall ceased because the car park at the back went making it impossible fo stall holders to park and unload their gear.
I've heard Bowlers is huge in size and as most stall holders are based around manchester it gets a good turnout in joe public.
