Strange story about my only visit to Aigburth cricket club car boot sale, Daisy. About three years back, I accompanied my mum to Clatterbridge Hospital for her chemotherapy. They have some cracking prints of Liverpool on the corridor walls, but there was one that stood out because we both knew the area. We were chatting about it all day, studying the A-Z of Liverpool, looking at old maps etc.

Anyway, I go to the cricket car boot sale the next day and lo and behold I find a framed print of it for sale for 50 pence!

AD may recall this story, as I posted it on another forum we belonged to a couple of years back.

I bought a bike last year from a car bootie - cost £1 and it had a bell on! A bell alone would cost more than a pound! It is in good nick - been looked after - Old fashioned - but I don't mind. I call her Lady Margaret!!

Sad innit?

If you mean the booty at Leasowe Common, it has not been on for a while.
None this week nor last week. We went that way today and the field was occupied by the ? Russian State circus.
The cafe on the corner (Lighthouse cafe) is closed down but the little cafe on the car park is open.
The common its self was blocked off and the new toilets are still not open.

Tuebrook_saturday and thursday has a car boot section at the bottom end Ok

Carnegie-Sunday 7 am onwards Bit scatty some real crap but its all cheap-I got two photos by E Chambre-Hardman for £1

Kensington Market- Saturday 7 am onwardsyou might come away scratching bit of a dump but again some very cheap bargains

Robins Island-Lydiate -synday 7 am onwards. Big car booty, more real sellers not traders so you get real bargains I bought a £150 mic for £ and a video capture device (£90) for £5 can be massive and you might car booty burn out about half way through

Burscough Sunday Early, too many market traders

Banks Saturday 7am sometimes really good other times too many market traders can be too big sometimes

Stanley High Schoool Southport last saturday in the month, mainly genuine car booters so again you can get some rela good bargains-got a minidsk recorder fora fiver

I usually go to Chester Rugby Club starting at 10 0,clock but the forcast for Sunday isn,t good. Those who can get there, it,s usually a good one as is the Chester Countess of Chester Hospital which starts about 6 or 7 in the morning. I,m on my second dream by then.

There is one in St. Chads (I think that's what it is called) On Aigburth Road on Sat. Morning. The place is opposite the library and along a bit.........great directions eh?

There is also a Farmer's Market at Lark Lane, so get all your Bank Holiday Sausages there :)
There is also a stall selling 101 types of Olives for our more Mediterranean visitors.

I'd reccomend Merton Road on Sunday, for buying or selling.
Tis like Walton Hospital car boot if ye knew it!

The best find we havae had at a car boot is this.... At the end of the car boot we were walking around and my b/f spotted a couple of things left on the floor, he asked his ten year old to go and have a look and he came back with a little cottage ornament , we put it on ebay and it turned out to be a David Winter first edition - it sold for £500.00 !!!!
