From the same BBC story:

Kingsman Smith, who was known as "smudge", was described by his family as a loving son, brother and boyfriend who would be missed more than words could say.

The teenager, who was a keen Everton supporter, was also described by his fellow soldiers as a popular member of the platoon whose cheerful nature marked him out as a constant source of morale and strength in times of difficulty.

Kingsman Adam James Smith, rest in peace.
