Nice photo Ged. These houses replaced some very rundown workshops on Rice St. They are owned by a local housing association. It shows that social housing can be well designed if there is the incentive to do so.

I guess they could be worse. It still looks more like lip service to the dominant architecture in the immediate area than sympathetically thought through. On the positive side - at least they are family houses rather than 1/2bedroomed apartments.
