A TEACHER who videoed himself having sex with under-age girls is facing jail.
Anthony Mulhall, 32, a former supply teacher in Sefton, pleaded guilty at Liverpool crown court to 19 sexual offences involving girls.
The court heard Mulhall had sex with three girls aged 15 several times between November 2005 and July 2006.
The teacher, of Ferndale Road, Wavertree, admitted 12 charges of sexual activity with a child under 16, and to four offences of taking indecent images by making videos of the girls engaging in sexual activity with him.
He also admitted possessing indecent images of children and two charges of meeting a child after sexual grooming.
He denied contacting his victims via the internet or phone with the intention of having sex, or perverting the course of justice by telling one of his victims to tell police they had not been involved in any sexually activity.
Five charges he denied will be ordered to lie on the file, said Damian Nolan, prosecuting.
Mulhall was arrested last July after police went to Chesterfield high school in Crosby to examine computers he worked on as a teacher covering staff absences.
Mulhall only worked at the school for a short time as a temporary teacher and was supplied through Sefton Local Education Authority.
There is no suggestion any of the girls involved were pupils at the school.
Judge David Boulton further remanded him in custody until May 9 when he will be sentenced.
ANTHONY Mulhall was once described as “unquestionably one of the best young coaches in European American Football”.
He learned his trade in America in the late 1990s with the University of Alabama and his reputation quickly grew as a defensive coach.
In 2000 Mulhall spent two seasons coaching Guntersville high school, Alabama, seeing them crowned area champions, before moving to Camden County High, coaching the 2003 state championship winning team.
He brought his knowledge to Britain shortly after and, having spent some time with the Scottish Claymores, came to be known as “the best of the best” and “a real student of the game”.
