I think the best way of finding a great Independent Financial Adviser in any area is to ask people to recommend one so can anyone let me know of one with which they have had a great experience?

It would be much appreciated

Best wishes

tread very carefully, no such thing as an IFA its a myth, i used the same guy my missus had used for years, she thought he was wonderful, gave him a lump some and in 12 months its value dropped to half

i ended up being mentored by the money guy at the daily express who tried to help me get justice, waste of time, they all use this product called a scandia multifund, best thing since sliced bread, it is for them, the commission is fantastic, be warned

Sounds like a really bad experience, definitely not one I want to have. Thanks for the warning

It sure is a great pity Sean that the BBC's Working Lunch is no more. They do still have these bits of advice on the BBC site...

There is still Radio4's moneybox...
