"One upon a time in America"
This is maybe, my fauvorite film. By Sergio Leone, with Robert de Niro (my great actor!!), James Woods, Joe Pesci, Danny Aiello, ... A gangster film, Brooklin. Good music from Ennio Morricone!!
Link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFobVUhKzGc)

"Band of Brothers"
By David Frankel and Tom Hanks, with Damian Lewis, Donnie Wahlberg, Ron Livingston, Neal McDonough, ... More than a movie, the whole documentary. With a long duration, but exciting, we can live in the first person it departs from the World War II, with the Easy Company. Personally, it is a topic that I am charmed with. I travel every year to Normandy, and I could be the Day D, in 60 anniversary. Veterans congratulated the actors, for that as they say, it is more a documentary than a movie, in which it is not absent not one only details.
Link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50iElH7AS74)

"Schindler's List"
By Steven Spielberg with Liam Neeson, Ben Kingsley, ... I believe that they exceed the commentaries, for which it is a movie that we we all have seen. I can never avoid cry with 2 scenes. The first one, when there meets the deceased girl of the red coat. The only point of color in the movie. The second one, with the real images, when some Jews who live today in day, and some descendants of the Jews of Shilnder, are in the tomb and deposit a stone. I recommend to read on Oskar's tree in Jerusalem.
Link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I63zkTwKoWU)

"Life is beautiful"
By Roberto Benigni, with his-self and his wife Nicoletta Braschi. A movie that mixes the humor and the sad reality, of the anti-Semitic crimes in the World war.
Link in Spanish, sorry (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lG31x-yqoQ)

"Bringing Up Baby"
By Howard Hawks with Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant, Charles Ruggles, ... A funny film of 1938. " Everything I it can give except the love, baby... ".
Link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cjg75qYsrL8)

"In the name of the Father"
Direct by Jim Sheridan with Emma Thompson, Daniel Day-Lewis, ... Was nominated for 7 Oscars. A man and his father, there are imprisoned defendants to belong to IRA and an attorney Britisher defends them to obtain his freedom.
Link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUMab1GYMIY)

"The Name of the Rose"
A good book of Umberto Eco and a good film, direct by Jean-Jacques Annaud with Sean Connery and Christian Slater. A history of intrigue and murders that happens in an Abbey. I recommend to read the book, by which the movie is very cut away.
Link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYbp0bnvRMY)

"The godfather II"
Only listen a Ennio Morricone song... Link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXhXcBK2Rxo). A great roller of Robert De Niro. Simply, brillant!!

Ennio Morricone is one of the greatest composers of music, ever.

I'd watch any of his films, and it just so happens that "Cinema Paradiso" is my favourite.
It probably would be without the music, but even Ennio excelled himself with that film.

A close second is the British classic "The Smallest Show on Earth", again about an old cinema.

The music for "The Godfather" was written by Nino Rota.

My favourite film is Bladerunner. It's just such a cool film - Dark, Atmospheric, although the ending is a little corny but I'll let it off with that :)

I also liked the Nightmare on Elm St films and lots of the old ghost movies too, like Topper, Blythe Spirt, etc

Mine is 'South Pacific' the musical by Rogers and Hammerstein adapted from the James A Michener book, 'Tales of the South Pacific'. And;

'The Caine Mutiny' starring Humphrey Bogart which was also a novel adapted for the big screen. This is one of the few movies I have seen were I enjoyed it as much as I did the book of the same name written by Herman Wouk. I also think it was the best movie Bogart made.

It's worth an hour and a half of your time. Maybe wait for the directors final cut which is due out later this year :)

As well as some mentioned already, Blade runner, Apocalypse Now, Bringing up baby one that I can keep going back to is KOYAANISQATSI, no need to remember the script as it has no words just hypnotising music from Philip Glass
link (http://www.koyaanisqatsi.org/films/koyaanisqatsi.php)

I think that beats Jona76 on the obscurity stakes :)

'The Caine Mutiny' is certainly one of Bogey's greatest films but he is also excellent in 'The African Queen', and both are favorites of mine.

Here are a bunch of my other faves:

'Citizen Kane'

'Zulu'

'The Commitments'

'Groundhog Day'

'North by Northwest'

'Rebecca'

'The Remains of the Day'
