I hadn't heard of her before.
(I know. Where have I been been? Presumably somewhere more interesting!).
It's only because of the news today, that I heard the name for the first time.
Well Phil, all we've had from Miss Katona over the last few years (from the media) has been stories of drug abuse and lack of care of her kids, these concerns shared by her ex, if we are to believe the stories.
Now this comes along and the media is full of the positive images that we used to see when she was part of the scouse group Atomic Kitten before the drug allegations etc.

I've heard of Atomic Kitten (but only just, and I don't think I've heard any of their records).
As for the media - I just don't bother much, apart from watching the news on BBC and Channel 4 (but never ITV).
I've learnt more about a lot of things since joining a forum called yoliverpool! :handclap:

Pathetic. I've come up with a new show idea, which I'm going to be offering to Channel4. It's called 'Kerry Katona's Christmas Carols'. Basically the idea is that Katona stands in the middle of a big circular stage, and sings all our favourite Christmas carols whilst the audience flings fresh dog muck at her.

Did anyone see Kerry Katona on Jonathon Ross last night? :shock: Honestly, her chin and general mouth area seemed completely independent to the rest of her body, what's all that about?
The interview was pants, Jonathon Ross was quick to recall the drug use (in the past) and Kerry didn't have anything to talk about apart from these past experiences and her mother, she was quick to direct away towards her mums antics at every opportunity. She looked and sounded terrible.
I can't understand how she gets all this work on TV and in the OK magazine?!!
And the interview was before Will Smith, which I would have preferred to listen to longer.
She's just pointless, Jonathan Ross must be desperate if he's getting her on. Her Iceland adverts say it all - she's just a mum now nothing else is going on in her life.

I wanted to see Will Smith - I love him - I might have suffered Ross just to see Will Smith, but I got engrossed with something else and forgot.

Trouble is, she puts on such a silly voice when she's doing those adverts, I'm not surprised people hate her.
However, I can remember her from her Atomic Kitten days and she was OK then - if a little gobby.
I'm sticking up for her, whether she gets herself in a mess or not, I'm sure the rest of us ain't perfect.

Very true lindylou there's alot of difference between being the salt of the earth and the scum of the earth.
Its how your brought up, my nephew grew up in Toxteth by a single working mother went to the local school and got 10 A grade GCSE'S or whatever it is nowadays, and is in his 4th year studying to be an architech at university, all his mates are either in nick or on the coke, and in now way is he a soft lad either.
He is where he is because he was brought up the right way and I'm proper made up for him.
Being thick as f*ck and ignorant are'nt things to aspire to, though to alot of people it would seem they are.
To me Kerrys a waste of space with a lot of cash and hangers on and I can't see much future for her to be honest.
She's been given a reprieve and saved from bankruptcy over a tax bill, as work is in the pipeline.Looks like we've got to suffer more of her then. :disgust:

According to The Sun, the show will allow Katona the chance to "set the record straight" about her marriage and alleged drug habits.
It will air on July 27.

Troubled star Kerry Katona has publicly admitted that she is an alcoholic for the first time.
The former Atomic Kitten singer told The People that she was diagnosed four years ago following a stint in The Priory rehab clinic.
"Along with my bipolar disorder this is an ongoing battle I will face for the rest of my life," Katona explained in an interview with the newspaper.
"Yes, I still have a drink when I want to, like any other 28-year-old woman.
"Some people think that an alcoholic is someone who drinks all the time but in fact it can be someone who drinks twice a month and gets hammered.

"During my worst drinking bouts I'd easily knock back ten to 15 shots of vodka or peach schnapps. I can get through days without having a drink but it's hard. I can never promise myself or my family that I can beat this addiction but I'll try bloody hard."
Despite her confession, the reality TV star is continuing to insist that her bipolar medication was responsible for her slurred speech in an interview with This Morning last month.
Meanwhile, Katona's husband Mark Croft claimed that she has her problem under control, explaining: "I would say she only drinks about twice a month, if that. We are quite boring people really."

Katona; the face and body of Iceland. A word of warning for people who watch drival like 'I'm a Celebrity' - you created this monster!!
Shows like that are the Western equivalent of terrorism. I will never bomb a plane, yet I have to suffer the woes of airport security. I will never watch 'I'm a celebrity', but have to suffer the likes of Tufnell and Catona invading other shows as they cash in on their 'talents'.
My advice is don't get sucked in, there is real entertainment out there if you look hard enough.

I really don't like Kerry Katona. She was all up in arms on 'This Morning' when Fern Britton suggested that she may have been drinking, and now she conveniently admits that she is an alcoholic. I sympathise with her for her problems, but she seems to enjoy the publicity. Let's face it, she hasn't much talent, so it's no wonder that she needs all the air time she can get.

I worked on a reality show(as a personal stylist) to the Actors.. NOT fun at all.. They were totally off the wall too...Quess, acting " Reality" is just that..Acting... Not what they are really like .. not down to earth at all...

Reality? They are most unreal situations I know. Big Brother? I watched 10 minutes of it once, and the odd minute here and there while in other people's homes. Putting all these people together in one big house being watched even when you have a shower is "reality"? I have low boredom threshold. How anyone can get hung up on these shows is totally beyond me.
BTW, they call X-Factor (Pop Idol) a reality show. If it looks like a talent show, sounds like a talent show, then it is a talent show. For that matter, the news a reality show, and so is live football.

I don't hate Kerry, Max.
It's a particular way of life and behaving that disappoints me mate, emulated by thousands of other people, which undermines the hard work of those who work hard and provide a well-earned roof over their heads.
Why havn't her kids been put into care yet? Surely having them in this house is putting them at risk?
