VIRGIN Trains staff have been banned from wearing Capital of Culture badges. more (http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/liverpoolecho/news/echonews/tm_headline=08-badges-banned-by-virgin-trains%26method=full%26objectid=18830724%26siteid= 50061-name_page.html)
But they have now been told to remove them after security experts decided they posed a risk on board trains.

Ridiculous!!!!!! I bet if they had badges promoting London they would be allowed!!!!!
As if somebody would confuse an 08 badge with a football teams badge. As chris says, it'd be a different story if it was something to do with London.
snappel 03-30-2007, 06:35 PM Personally I blame violent football fans...
The Gardens 03-30-2007, 07:41 PM The health & safety issues surround the fact the badges have sharp pin, and we know any virgin is scared of a pr1ck
Ross08 03-30-2007, 08:09 PM I've never heard such a lot of rubbish in my life. If I worked at Virgin, I'd be extremely annoyed.
I always wear my 08 Ambassador badge, which I'm very proud of. I'm seeing more and more people all the time wearing the badges and I think it's great that people are getting behind our city.

Ha ha. Is it because sky one was due to be channel 08 on virgin??
Virgin are a godlike company but they should use more of their time to fight Sky instead.
Hard to say negetive posts about Virgin since they gave me 30 pounds phone credit free when I bought my sony phone. 10 for being loyal to Virgin and 20 with the phone!
Godlike!
A car key could be just as much a weapon as a pin on a badge.

kev, where can you get those badges from?
MissDemenour 04-05-2007, 12:00 PM I have seen the badges for sale in the conservation centre if that helps...
I like virgin...especially virginmedia they have very good broadband and digital...free on demand with the digital ^_^ which i like. I agree with Max...they should spend less time worrying about pinbadges and more about sky.

The first one is part of the Ambassador scheme: Click here (http://www.liverpool08.com/GetInvolved/08Ambassador/index.asp)
The second? It was a gift.
