Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can advice me on where to live in Liverpool. I have secured a student placement with a company in Kirby for 12 months and I'm looking for a place to live and move into in a month. Due to the ridiculously low salaries paid to students I will need to share a house hence I will be using websites such as spareroom to locate an accommodation.
Also would you let me know what kind of transport you would recommend. Please choose from motorbike, car, bus or train and avoid horses, donkeys, private helicopters....etc!
Many Thanks in advance.

Kirkby is a relatively isolated part of Merseyside in that it's away from the main part of Liverpool, and I do not think you'll be able to rent a shared house in this area. Depending on where you're working, Knowsley Village may be an option. The student population tends to live near to the city centre and there are many shared houses in L15, L7, L3. With regards to transport - again it depends where you're working in Kirkby. I worked in Kirkby many moons ago, and the buses were ok during peak times. Personally I wouldn't work in Kirkby unless I had my own transport, mainly because the industrial estates are large. If you're working near to the Town Centre, the railway station isn't far away and the service is good.
Best of luck in your work placement.

would love to help you, but unfortunately I can advise you only horses, donkeys, a private helicopter, and as a supplement to the submarine to get a weekend to the Albert Dock. http://arcanumclub.ru/smiles/smile67.gif........http://arcanumclub.ru/smiles/smile76.gif

You may be able to find a shared house in Huyton as Huyton has a college, also if you want to get a bus you can get the 217 from Huyton bus station which goes to Kirkby or the train. Of course car would be easier. :) I live in Netherley which is next door to Huyton and I worked in Kirkby getting the bus each day.
