Chris
. . . and Baby Cham.
PhilipG 03-23-2007, 08:40 PM . . . and Baby Cham.
The Sugared Almonds were from Christmas - I keep papers in the box.
Never tasted Babycham in my life, that's one of my collectables.
My mum and sister consider our desktop messy but It's no where near Chris and Phillip's.
I'll do a shot of mine later.
The only problem with mine Is the desk draws broke.

PhilipG 03-23-2007, 08:50 PM If Tracey Emin can make an unmade bed into an artwork, I'm going to send my pic to the Tate! :PDT_Piratz_26:
Or I might even take a photo of my bed.
I just took one of my laptop on the coffee table, but theirs evidence of a rampant 4 year old in the background and there's no way I'm posting it.
baztop3 03-23-2007, 09:05 PM here is my setup with a nice HDTV as me monitor :) all i need is the can of carling that Kev's has :(

ChrisGeorge 03-23-2007, 09:13 PM Hi Baz
Is that right? That an HD TV can be used as a computer monitor? I didn't know that. I have just bought one for my 86-year-old Mum who has just gone into a nursing home here in Baltimore. It's not nice to think about but I suppose I could use the TV as a computer monitor when she passes on. . . You have me scheming now. . . :unibrow:

Hi Chris
yes most HDTV,s will double as a monitor, my 32 inch HDTV will but
I would be lynched if I used it for the PC . If and when I sort out my 3
PC,s I will post a pic, just got a new one today to replace an old PII tower

baztop3 03-23-2007, 09:23 PM hi ChrisGeorge, yes you can use a monitor (most of them anyway) just check b4 you buy (or steel from ya mum). I think someone should worn your mum to look out for a ChrisGeorge shaped balaclavaed man sneeking into her home in the middle of the night

ChrisGeorge 03-23-2007, 09:47 PM Chris, love the old clock radio :PDT_Piratz_26:, does it have the twisty dial on the top for tuning stations in?
Yes it does. This is a later one. However, my owld Dad won such clock radios from Dominoes Sugar and Phillies Tips cigars in the Sixties, saving boxtops I think in the case of the sugar and cigar bands in regard to the smokes. That was back when companies used to give stuff away -- Green Shield stamps, drinking glasses at gas stations, etc. I recall that such stamps were for a while the rage in England and the USA (I suspect that such things as Green Shield Stamps are collectors' items these days!!!).
Chris

I love tidiness and order. I know where everything is .. ' A place for everything, and everything in it's place' :ninja:
I have all my paperwork, documents, policies, bills, etc filed away in marked files. My computer disks all labelled and in order; I keep an A to Z record of my music collection and my photo albums are all dated in chronological order !
clutter is enough to give me a heart attack !! :D

Don't look at my pic, Lindy.
I'd hate to be responsible for what it might do to your heart.
I find clutter comforting and cosy. :)
lindylou 03-24-2007, 12:22 AM I'll have to get round to your place with my sleeves rolled up Philip !! :D
.. seriously tho' .. I can understand why some people would find clutter cosy and comforting as you say .. but it's interesting that different personalities have different feelings about it.
I know people who find security in having their clutter around them and they would feel very threatened if anyone tried to clear it out of the way from them.
I'm the opposite, clutter upsets my peace of mind !
Chaos really unnerves me and I have to have order to keep my temperament nice and easy if you know what I mean .. I kind of get in an irritable nark if the place is up side down.
When everything is tidy and in it's place I feel better. :)

Green shield stamps..Remember them Chris.
I used to collect Bazooka Joe tokens and send them off.
Anyone remember them,Like little pieces of grease like paper that used to smell of chewy long after the chewy was stuck underneath the desk in the Classroom.
Silverbuttons 03-24-2007, 03:29 PM Bloody hell Kev! It's tiny! :unibrow: I don't know how you cope with a tiny computer station like that. We've just got a new table for ours from Home Bargins. Tis great. Can spread out.
