I'll do a shot of mine later.

The only problem with mine Is the desk draws broke.

Hi Baz

Is that right? That an HD TV can be used as a computer monitor? I didn't know that. I have just bought one for my 86-year-old Mum who has just gone into a nursing home here in Baltimore. It's not nice to think about but I suppose I could use the TV as a computer monitor when she passes on. . . You have me scheming now. . . :unibrow:

I would be lynched if I used it for the PC . If and when I sort out my 3

Yes it does. This is a later one. However, my owld Dad won such clock radios from Dominoes Sugar and Phillies Tips cigars in the Sixties, saving boxtops I think in the case of the sugar and cigar bands in regard to the smokes. That was back when companies used to give stuff away -- Green Shield stamps, drinking glasses at gas stations, etc. I recall that such stamps were for a while the rage in England and the USA (I suspect that such things as Green Shield Stamps are collectors' items these days!!!).

.. seriously tho' .. I can understand why some people would find clutter cosy and comforting as you say .. but it's interesting that different personalities have different feelings about it.

I know people who find security in having their clutter around them and they would feel very threatened if anyone tried to clear it out of the way from them.

I'm the opposite, clutter upsets my peace of mind !

Chaos really unnerves me and I have to have order to keep my temperament nice and easy if you know what I mean .. I kind of get in an irritable nark if the place is up side down.

When everything is tidy and in it's place I feel better. :)

Don`t mention the bike to my missus,it`s supposed to be in the shed with my mountain bike. The bike is a Claud Butler given to me by one of my sons as he had bought a new bike. I had a Claud Butler touring bike for years used for camping and touring all over the place,so I`m made up to own another one.

I got me a laptop last year around November.:PDT_Aliboronz_24:

I usually stack the dictionaries and Kanji book on the shelf under the lappy but i wanted to show them off for the photo.:PDT10

I'd love to be able to read Kanji! I was planning on doing a Japanese evening class last year with my ex but we stopped talking and I didn't want to go alone:$ik:
I really like an old group from the 70's called Yellow Magic Orchestra and imagine that one day I will understand one of my favourite songs.
And visit Tokyo.

I only know a really tiny bit of Kanji such as the numbers and the symbols like for day, moon and month. And fire and water at too most. Been mostly reading the Hiragana and Katakana writing they use which are phonetic unlike Kanji.

I would probably end up visiting Tokyo but would like to try somewhere else there since most people go to capital cities anyway.

They have cat cafes too in Japan!:PDT_Aliboronz_24:

Looks cool! They are a bit mad over there but it's kind of endearing. I have reasons why I would choose Tokyo first. Kyoto is somewhere I'd love to visit too as it looks stunning.

You know more kanji than I do!

I have a right dork who sits facing me, taking pics then emailing them to me, obviously getting a kick out of writing little notes too like the one in pink highlighter pen (it goes with his ted socks)

Ah well, it takes all sorts..........

I think it's because I tin hatted him at pool during a 3 nil drubbing when we all went out after work a couple of fridays ago for his 21st. Especially after him ripping me all day about what he was and wasn't going to do

Some kids will never learn :PDT_Aliboronz_24:

Konichiwa Max. I have been to Tokyo and three other cities in Japan. Ages ago now, in 1988 on QE2. I loved it. The whole experience was good.

Its shipping and transport. Imports/Exports and UK domestic. In busy periods there are 6 of us in the traffic office fielding 14 lines but it's the holiday period so were down to 3 with the rep flitting in and out. When it's quiet, we don't need even 1 phone :)
