Well, local lad Daniel Craig has been confirmed as The New James Bond (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/film/4337224.stm). My question to u is who is your all time fave Bond?

Mines, Roger "the eyebrow" Moore.

I guess because he was my era sort of, well maybe because in the 70's I first discovered "the pictures" ;-)

I'm going through all the Bond films and buying em one by

one (before I found out about the new fantastic ultra edition....!) still.....

Connery is the best for being as cold as possible and charms the ladies

with his act.

But then I watched Lazenby in OHMSS and everyone panned this film. Personally I thought it was one of the best but it went too far in

to the mushy side - if Connery had done this then this would have been the best film bar none. Lazenby has all the style though.

Moore - Grew up with

Moore (not literally lOL) in the 80's and he will always be 'Bond' to me. He charmed his way around like there was no tomorrow and perhaps while not the

best fighter, he can still take people out. He'll always be my fav bond even though Connery had all the style of the 60's.

Brosnan should have stuck

to the Thomas Crown Affair, Dalton I can't remember and Craig - Bond originally had black hair and was 5 10 (that's me exactly!!) so a blonde Bond isn't

going to go down too well in my book - and anyone that has to wear a life jacket to go in a boat......

Good review, tho. I think Moore was a better 'Saint' than a Bond.

Thank God someone else thinks like me !!

I though I must be the only one - 'cos I never saw anything in James Bond films. They hold no interest for me at all.

Don't know why they think all women are mad for Sean Connery - I hate the way he talks !

James Bond. No, not for me I'm afraid.

You are so right, I have 4 sisters and they all hated bond, they would moan every Christmas as my dad and I would flick through the channels and find a Bond film..they are pure boys films

Cadael, I was well impressed with him in casino royal but I would like to see him in a few more bond films before I could even consider him wearing the bond crown that belongs to Mr Sean the man Connery.:)

Personally I think both only Connery and Craig could be considered to be 'real life' Bonds you would see doing their job. I loved Moore - I grew up with Moore but there was nothing about him physically wise - but a sharp tongue.

Casino Royale for me was like a breath of fresh air since the last of the Moore era. Brosnan should have stayed with the Thomas Crown Affair.

Craig no1. But also had soft spot for Dalton.
Can't look at Connery in the same way without remembering his remarks on slapping women and his tax exile/Scottish patriot drivel. Wish I could divorce the man from the actor but can't.

My favourite Bond was, Brosnan, cooler than Sean, but Sean was the first so I can,t take anything away from him. The worst was Big Fry man, and this nutter from over the water should stick to kids psp games, utter sh***

As for the film Casino Royale, no gadgets no lad culture following, proper boring.:disgust:

Theme tunes, best was Shirtly Bassey singing, prefereably, Goldfinger. anyone else, just none starter.:disgust:

I rest my case, as it,s heavy.:)

Sean Connery is known as 007, as that is how many times he's been back to Scotland since 1962 :disgust:

I was brought up on Roger Moore, so always liked his films (it's a bit like which Dr Who you watched as a kid). My favourite film is The Spy Who Loved Me, stayed in to watch it twice on the Odeon (you could in those days).

I thought Dalton was given a bum rap in the politically correct 1980's, and was a victim of the battle between MGM and Sony for the rights to the Bond franchise. Licence to Kill was renamed after a poll of Americans determined they would not understand the original title Licence Revoked. It was also the first bond to be given a 15 rating (no 12 certificate in those days), and as such lost many of it's UK audience at the box office. But that didn't stop it being one of the highest grossing worldwide Bond's to date.

I enjoyed the back to basics Casino Royale, but agree I would like to see Craig's next outing before making any real comments on him as Bond.

Timothy Dalton all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!

I enjoyed 'The Living Daylights' and especially 'Licence To Kill', Not only becouse they were made in the late 1980s but the acting, plot etc.

I like the Aussie bloke George Lazenby too, Although underrated, He was more down to earth.

besides daniel (first name terms...i wish!) i like george lazenby too. unless i'm mistaken didn't bond get married in the one he was in but then she was killed?

I'm going through all my Bond DVD's again and you see a trend.

Connery and Lazenby - hard men.

Moore - more of a joker (though he was 'my' Bond as I grew up in the era)

Dalton - hard man.

Brosnan. - Gift of the gab

Craig - Bloomin excellent.

I think out of all of them, I'd rate Dalton as the closest to the books.

I always rated Dalton although it seemed as if no-one else did. Think he's 2nd best to Craig.

Yes, I like that bit! I think the good thing about Craig is that he's a woman's Bond whilst also being a man's Bond.
