Surely it's just good business sense for real-ale pubs to give out a sample of beer to the discerning drinker? That's not necessarily the case, as we found out on a lunch-time visit to a certain Liverpool pub.

How real, real ales
where service pales?
Or from pails. :)
Not being a real ale drinker (sacrilege) I didn't know of this expected 'tasting' lark. I'm liking cider at the mo and if I want to taste Bulmers, Gaymers, Magners, Strongbow or kopperberg (which I have over the last few weeks) then I jolly well have to buy one :PDT10
No wonder all these real ale drinkers have pot bellies :)
But............if it's the norm, then Rigby's have shot themselves in the foot.

Ah!
Maybe they are after A Leaner Rigby's. ;)
I do know the pub has had 3 different landlady's in the last 3 years so it can't be doing that well.
