Myself and two of my lads in 1997, corner of North John St/Harrington St. I doubt if the Internet Cafe is still there. If not, does anyone know what's taken it's place?

That Place Dave must have been one of the 1st Wine Bars in the Country..
It opened up for a Short while in the mid 70's selling Jugs of Sangria..
It was Brilliant..A Real Novelty when it took off..
Cant for the Life of me remember what it was called though.

1985. Sis and Missus in the Cavern Walk.
Main reason I've posted the pic is for the Harold Ian bag. Anyone know when the shop closed? I used to spend fortunes in there before the kids came along.

It used to be a shoplifter's paradise in the early 70s. As you walked in, the shirts were directly to your left. Many's the time I saw lads walking in then walking out seconds later with a load of wrapped up shirts sticking out of their jackets and jumpers.

I read me poetry in the Why Not Pub some years ago. I guess it's not there anymore, then, huh?

A LITTLE piece of authentic Italian life has come to Liverpool’s Bold Street as it continues its impressive renaissance. more (http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/liverpooldailypost/news/regionalnews/tm_headline=step-off-the-street-into-italy%26method=full%26objectid=18860135%26siteid=5 0061-name_page.html)

I've never noticed this fine (tiled?) building before until last week. Does anyone have any info on it? I can't find my Buildings of Liverpool book, so I'm stuck. I've done a Google and it looks like the address is 61 Lord Street, Liverpool L2 6PB. Thanks.

Dunno anything about the building - the Pudding Bowl (now closed down) used to be a crackin' cafe tho' - good wholesome food!

Just done another google and found it was a Sales Office in the 60s for the offshore pirate radio station Radio Caroline.

It's not mentioned in "Buildings of Liverpool".
However, "Liverpool" by Joseph Sharples* identifies it as "Venice Chambers", 1882 by Edmund Kirby.

Bold St used to be a class act but found it very depressing when I last walked down it a couple of years ago. Hope it recovers.
