HAVE you had your say on the choice of topics for the great Liverpool Debates?

The top five will be discussed in a series of public events from April to September to mark Liverpool’s 800th birthday.

The topics are:

1 Gizza job? Liverpool believes everyone should be able to leave school at age 14. (VOTE 01)

2 Jade or Jesus? Liverpool believes that celebrity matters more than religion. (VOTE 02)

3 Voter apathy? Liverpool believes that traditional politics has failed.(VOTE 03)

4 Culture my a**e? Liverpool believes that Jim Royle is a liability to the city. (VOTE 04)

5 Bill Shankly, Harold Wilson, John Moores – true Scousers? Liverpool believes the city thrives because ofoutsiders.(VOTE 05)

6 Personal freedom or state intervention? Liverpool believes that you should pick up your own litter.(VOTE 06)

7 Integration or toleration? Liverpool believes that multiculturalism has failed. (VOTE 07)

8 What happens when the handouts stop? Liverpool believes that its economic recovery is a mirage.(VOTE 08)

9 North west solidarity or regional rivalry? Liverpool believes it’s time for the city and Manchester to join forces.(VOTE 09)

10 Strawberry Fields Forever? Liverpool believes that the city undersells The Beatles. (VOTE 10)

11 Sex in the city? Liverpool believes it should have a managed red light district.(VOTE 11)

12 One nil? Liverpool believes that the arts are more important than football.(Vote 12).

I mean WTF! Has it really got to that stage in life now?? I happened to watch about 5 mins of WAGS Boutique and actually felt sorry for them. Spending each and every day going shopping with endless pots of cash - what a waste of a life!

And No 4 - if only we had more straight talking people like 'Jim Royle' then this country might just be in a better state that it's in.
