There's no better way to experience Liverpool and Merseyside than from the deck of the world famous Mersey Ferry. You'l learn about the city and the region's fascinating history, see it's spectacular sights and discover its unique character. The Liverpool waterfront is now a UNESCO World heritage site, so there's even more reason to take a leisurely 50 minute River Explorer Cruise
Well..... I went on Monday and I thought it lacked so much information...... The sites from the ferry are always spectacular come rain or shine..... but the commentary could be sooooooo much better!! From writing a dissertation on UNESCO and Liverpool's world heritage status... I went on the ferry to take photos of the waterfront.... amazing pictures! but not once did they mention anything to do with UNESCO in the 50 mins I was on it!!! but yet they mention it in the leaflet I have here in front of me!! and I've been told by others, sometimes there is no commentary at all........ ????? whats happening?? World Heritage Status..... UNESCO we should be boasting about our city..... If there was a microphone I would have happily spoke about the city myself!!!
