Someone emailed Roger to say there's a cracking site with lots of professional and amateur photographers (they didn't mention my shi'te ones thank god) and he gave the site address out so watch out hopefully for an influx of new visitors.

Billy Butler, listening in and ready to go on at 2pm remarked that he once thought about 20 years ago, going into the pubs on Scottie road armed with a camcorder to record the area, atmosphere, the local vicinity then move onto County road then West Derby road etc and said he was sorry he didn't now. Roger remarked that Snelly (Tony Snell) had been photographing daily the changes in Paradise Street just prior to Radio Merseyside leaving for Hannover Street but then lost the lot that were on a disc.

It can all be heard again if you want by logging onto Radio Merseyside listen again service on their homepage. It was all discussed between 1.30 and 1.50 ish.

So Stan you and Ged admit to listening to Radio Merseyside, :)
Not listened since Con McConville and Roger Hill use to do their evening programmes years ago, I was talking to Tony Snell about two weeks ago about the new building and music in general. He was telling me about the new facilities and some of the new things that they will be doing from the building, Chris Moyles from Radio 1 will be doing his show from Liverpool on 11th March as part of the Comic Relief Rallyoke tour event.

I only really listen to that programme. It's the best place the find out what's going on around you.Proper public service broadcasting instead of listening to brain dead crap like Chris Moyles and anything on radio one.

Ouch that hurt Stan:shock:

It's true - you can learn some good stuff on that Phone-in Roger Phillips is a beast with all that knowledge. I used to like the Vincent Burke 15 mins every monday,. a great local crime Historian and of course Snelly has Frank Carlyle on (ex Gerard Gardens like some on here)

I listen when our driving in my dinner hour, usually en route for a butty or something. The footy phone-in with Alan Jackson's quite good too but I also listen to the legends on Century FM for that when i'm en route to play footy most evenings.

Well done for ringing in Stan.

Aye.They were talking about the documentation of the changes going on at the moment, wondering if anyone was taking photos.I reckoned this site well deserved a mention.

Chris Moyles over 7 + million listeners can't be bad publicity for Liverpool

Radio City don't let you listen from outside the UK anymore, Merseyside do though.:handclap:

Radio City are alright for some things, they don't have an arts, exhibitions, local history scene presenter though like Merseyside - they're just not interested in that sort of thing.

Radio City Is Dog Turd.:PDT_Aliboronz_24:

Not a fan of the radio, but I stick Juice on when I'm waiting for the kettle to boil for a cuppa tea or If I'm In the gym since I lost my Ipod In town when my bike inner tube blew up.:Smiliz_Kingz_PDT_13

Radio City need brighter talk show hosts, no closed minded ones.

Hee hee - that's the one Tony. Apparently Collagen + is very good for your joints and complexion as you get older and things like Serizan and synovital are good for the eyes - there's a list of other things but if you bought them all you'd suffer from malnutrition as you'd have no money left for other vital things like food.
