Police on the Streets comparison

I tend to visit Liverpool, London, Portsmouth and Southampton on a regular basis and disregarding your political view, there is deffo more bizzies on the streets.

However, the ones in Luton and London all seem to be short arsed lard arses. None of them could even chase a scal in a wheelchair.

In my opinion, if you want to police the mean streets, give them a bit of leeway regarding a slap or two and make sure they're 6+ foot nasty looking bar stewards who are fit.

I believe that in the 50,s one of my relatives was a bobby, and it was
common to give a scally a clip round the ear, or invite them to take part
in a boxing match

The police I've seen briefly have been usually very large, i can't imagine them ever trying to outrun a thief etc.... do they even these days?

Or just wait Outside St Anne street Police Station..You'll soon have 10 Police Vehicles all over the Central Reservation and on the Sidewalk blocking peoples access along St Anne St..I've seen women with Prams having to walk around these Vehicles in the Middle of the Road to get passed them..
Try asking a Brown Nose traffic Warden how THEY can get away with,I have several Times and never get an Answer..I'm seriously considering taking a little Stroll up there..On a Daily Basis over a Week or so..And taking Pictures of all this Sidewalk blocking and march in the Cop shop with them..
And I'd argue with them all day over it !!..

Seen too many Canny Farm lads stitched up by the Lancashire Constabulary (Prescot Police Station based) when I was a kid. I don't want to sound like AD Williams (no offence AD), but if you were a black lad at the time in the 70s, even you lot wouldn't have been treated the way we were.

Found out 30 years later from my dentist that my bad bite was due to a fractured jaw as a teenager. I can only put this down to getting a smack from a dog handler/bizzie's torch as a 16 yr old when I remonstrated because he set his dog on me for no reason.

It was my dad they wrongly arrested In the end too being accused of being a flasher on a bus he was never on, didn't match the description and was even told what the person looked like when telling us the description when they pulled us and he was with me at the time when this guy was alone.

We were only out because I lost some cash and we went looking for It.

Wonder what they did with the Idiot who tried to attack my dad thinking he was the flasher after the police sent him back to his car. He was some Idiot who knew the girl who was alleged to have been flashed.

Can't remember much of what happened but there was so many flaws In what the girl told the police It was crazy.

Anyway I've always felt nervous and Intimidated by police until recently, not that I've done anything, just always have done. Depends on how they approach me, I understand they have a job to do.

There's a Subway right by St. Anne street Police station, it gets you from St. Joseph's Crescent to Mansfield Street but it doesn't sell sarnies. :unibrow:

More CCTV would make my life harder, and it's not fair - I'm not a criminal. I'd suffer because I'm one of the people who doesn't necessarily do what he's 'supposed' to. I don't do anything that hinders society - why should I be punished? The Police need to learn how to recognise the real villains.
