I belong to the Southport GB forum (if that's what it's called).
I don't visit it very often, but I've found that a lot of the avatars and even signatures are animated.
It makes it very distracting when you're trying to read through a thread, and your peripheral vision can see all this flashing, moving and dancing stuff.
It's so good to read through the threads here on yoliverpool without all that cr*p.
BTW.
Come back LIndyLou, and bring your seagull with you.
The odd one is OK. :)

Personally I don't see the problem? In the User CP, you have an option to turn off other people's avatar's should you so wish.

Thanks for that.
I'll see if they have the same option.

Here's a couple of decent Chester forums you may care to look in on-
Chester@Large is a great site dedicated to reviews of pubs, clubs and restaurants in the area including a busy forum with lots of to-the-point discussions and comments.
http://www.clarence.ndirect.co.uk/large/nc.htm
My own, recently-established Chester Forums offers lively debate on subjects such as,
• Chester as she was
• Chester Today
• Chester Music 'n' Arts
• General Chat
• Ads and Services

Come up and see us sometime! :unibrow:
If you press the escape key, It turns off the animated avatars and It simply becomes a still image.
