View Full Version : Liverpool FC training (help)
marie 03-02-2007, 05:25 PM I was write a post at the introductions, coz I will travel to Liverpool the next 19-March. I like to know if itīs possible see a Liverpool FC training.
Where are they training? Whatīs days and hours? How I can go there since Albert Dock area?
Thanks!!
They train at Melwood in West Derby, which is about 4 miles from the Albert Dock. The place is surrounded by high walls though and there's no chance of getting in to watch.
If you want to see some of Liverpool's Spanish players, you may be lucky if you go to La Vina restaurant in North John Street in the city centre.

I like Liverpool FC since much time ago. Itīs indifferent for me, if there are spanish footballplayers or not. I can not go to a match and I like to go where they training, coz i like see they playing football.
Thanks u very much again. I try find info about they are training, and the table hours to go there.
marie 03-02-2007, 09:14 PM Now, a boy says me ... "Get the number 12 or 13 bus to stockbridge village, the bus station is opposite the albert dock. That will take you to Melwood which is Liverpools training ground"
Is It correct? Anybody know about the timetable of training?? :PDT_Xtremez_42:

That's where it is alright but the best you can hope for is catching a glimpse of the players as they drive in or out.
You could get in up until quite recently (if you had a contact with the club) but it's become next to impossible now even if you know someone, as Rafa has put the blocks on.

I deal. I was thinking that I am like in other clubs, u can see part of the training, though I do not complete. I feel disappointed, I was thinking that I could to visit a training, coz it is impossible to see a game coz I have to work all the weekends and cannot go to Liverpool. I was try to travel the next Tuesday, to see the game with Barcelona, but all the hotels were full and it was impossible to find a ticket. I expect to be able to see a friendly match at least, next summer. Thank you very much for the information!!!!!!!

MarkA 03-04-2007, 06:20 AM Hi Marie, there's a ray of hope on the http://www.liverweb.org.uk/melwood.htm website, where it says Although the club don't encourage fans to come down they have put in a small covered area for spectators although these are generally invited down especially So if you go on http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/, select 'Contact Us' in the upper right corner of the web page, then the 'Contact' tab off the next page. Select 'I wish to contact the club' and then from the drop down menu in 'I wish to contact', select 'Public relations' and then fill in your details and request. Although it lets you send this request via the internet, it does say to send your request in writing to The Public Relations Department, Anfield Road, Liverpool L4 OTH with a self addressed envelope. Hope you have some luck but you should go to Bellefield to see Mikel Arteta (Donostia San Sebastian) and the mighty Blues instead :p

I hope you have success in contacting the club Marie, although there's internationals on 24th March so there wont be many players around the week you are here.

I'll have to give that some thought, obviously there are lots of records that can't ever be broken because they are "firsts", the Saint being the first player to score an FA Cup final winning goal for us etc.

Hi Scouse never a mouse you know your history yes the Saint was the first
Liverpool Player to score the winning goal in a F A cup final 1964/65 season what a player in his hey day he could jump head and shoulder above Jackie
Charlton to head the ball into the onion bag also he had a knock out punch Pearson ex Man u found out when Liverpool fc v Fulham at craven cottage in 1965/6 season. The answer to my question was Sir Roger Hunt he was the first Liverpool Player to score in a FA cup final and also the first Pro Footballer to score the first goal on Match of the Day,In 1963/4 season when Liverpool won the 1st Division Championship after winning the 2nd Division in 1961/2 can you tell me the results of the Easter fixtures they had
the teams they played was Spurs away, Gorden Banks away, Spurs at home
I was at all the games as you know your history you will name the second team to help you the total goals scored was 10 over the 3 games. You are a true Scouser.
