TWO of Liverpool's most senior councillors last night explained why they want a new system introduced to allow grievances to be laid against its most senior officers.
Cllrs Richard Marbrow and Paul Clein, both members of the council's executive board, want a six-member panel to be established to enable grievance or disciplinary matters to be heard against chief executive Sir David Henshaw, resources director Phil Halsall and city solicitor Graeme Creer should the need ever arise.
