NEW England Revolution coach Steve Nicol has claimed he has held talks with former Liverpool team-mate Robbie Fowler about a move to Major League Soccer.

More by Ian Parker on icLiverpool (http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/0500liverpoolfc/0100news/tm_headline=fowler-in-us-talks%2D-says-nicol%26method=full%26objectid=18687147%26siteid=5 0061-name_page.html)

I also like Nichols' comment about the new American millionaires who have bought into ownership of Liverpool FC, Tom Hicks and George Gillett - “they don’t drink in my local" Nichol said of the men who live in Texas and Colorado respectively. !!!

Just on Radio Merseyside that Robbie's agent says that there hasn't been any talks whatsoever.

Hmmm. Why would Nichol make it up? Maybe there are some things the agent doesn't know, or what he thought was just a discussion with someone was actually talks about Fowler "coming over" as it were.

I think it'd be a great move for him. His fitness shouldnt be as much of an issue and he'll look a class act. With a young fanily to think of there'll be no language barriers (apart from losing a bit of Scouse) to have to contend with that players normally face when going abroad. As much as LFC fans love him, I think the hard facts have to be faced that he will never be the player he was 1994-97.
