Please Help Identify These Pubs

Can anyone please help identify the two pubs in the attached photos?They were used in the film 'The Reckoning' starring Nicol Williamson - which was filmed in Liverpool/Birkenhead and Wallasey in 1969/1970.The pub names - 'The Shaggy Calf' and'The Firefly' may not be the correct names.The film gives the impression that 'The Shaggy Calf' is somewhere off the East Lancs on the way in to Liverpool - but I suppose it could be anywhere.Hope someone can help.

Glad to help, giropay. There is a Firefly pub in Bourne End not far from the one in Slough but it doesn't look like the one in that shot unless if happens to have a modern extension not shown on this URL:

I think the 'Firefly' was in Aintree on Altway.

There's a Firefly pub on Welbeck Avenue in Hayes -- could be that one. It wouldn't be too far from the one in Slough, would it? Can't seem to find a pic of it though...

Gnasher, I don't remember there being a pub there. :eek: .. .. do you mean where the shops are opposite the Old Roan ? I can't recall seeing a pub there. I used to visit people in Mostyn ave and Taunton drive.
