It is certainly a book worth reading. A tale of the doings of a Building/decorating firm, interspersed with 'lectures' on the stark truth of why bakers are untouchable and it is the working man wot pays.
Perhaps this is a re-working of the tale, with Oxbridge characters and Armani suits etc. It is not New Labour, that's for sure.

I read the book way back in 1971 and found it answered a lot of unasked questions,because of it I became an activist in the TWGU and became involved in left wing politics. The principles in the book remain as true today as they were when Robert Tressell wrote the book,
