Has anyone tried mixing a bit of English mustard into their mash... it gives it a whole new taste... not strong and burny like English mustard is, very nice though

Victorialush, If you buy either red cabbage or beetroot over here drain the liquid off and replace it with vinegar, they pickle them in a very sweet sauce. :037:

Friday night is Chippy Night, as I've had enough of cooking by the end of the week.
Lunch was a great bowl of scouse and a pint in the Roscoe Head, it is always a delight to go into that pub.

Oh I used to love chippy night, that was a real treat in our house... what ya gonna get?
My usual would be a Spanish Omelette and a carton of curry... I always have this when I visit Mummys in Litherland.

Char Sui Fried rice and a few chips. Most times I get Chicken Fu Young which is the Chinese version of an omelette. Eating it out of the polystyrene container saves on the washing up as well:)

Tesco's didn't have any black pudding so I got a small haggis instead  . Had it with sausages and beans on toast for dinner today. Cut it in slices and fried it.......it was lovely.
