I'd get a ticket quick - it usually sells out early and I'm told that the Friday is already gone!
LIVERPOOL has gone into its annual real ale frenzy.
The city’s four-day beer festival, the 5,000-odd tickets for which sold out in two hours when they went on sale on December 16, was launched last night in the Metropolitan Cathedral’s crypt.
More than 170 real ales went on sale in what has become one of Liverpool’s biggest annual tourist attractions and one of the most popular festivals of its kind in the country. Tickets are in such demand that they have been put up for auction on Ebay.
“People from all over the country take the week off to come to this beer festival and there’s one guy who comes over every year without fail from California,” said Geoff Edwards, chairman of the Liverpool and Districts branch of the Campaign For Real Ale, whose members organise the huge event on a completely voluntary basis. continues (http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/0100news/0100regionalnews/tm_headline=beer-lovers-descend-on-city-for-real-ale-frenzy%26method=full%26objectid=18624254%26siteid= 50061-name_page.html)....

I was lucky - a friend sold me a ticket the night before. Good event, pity that it's so oversubscribed. Maybe they'll move it to a larger venue in the future, though the Crypt is not a small venue.

It's always good to go to one of the real ale pubs around town when this is on. They're usually empty and they're glad of your custom :PDT_Aliboronz_24:

They used to have double the numbers in there but have had to make big cut backs on capacity due to fire regulations
