MOVIE and TV star David Morrissey is moving his London-based film company to Liverpool.
The Merseyside-born actor, due to play opposite Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct 2, puts his decision down to Liverpool securing the title of Capital of Culture 2008.
David's company, Tubedale Films, will work with other creative businesses to form a "hub of excellence" to promote filming, editing and distribution in Merseyside.
He said: "The European culture status and the opportunities for developing films in the region is really exciting.
"We are thrilled to be part of that and are relocating from London to Merseyside."
