Last time I was in Liverpool, I paid a visit to the Grafton Street/Caryl Street site, but no work has started yet. Tried to phone Carpenter Investments who own the development, but their phone number is out of order - 0151 7088557. Strange company. No website, but their domain name is registered under a Welsh address and the only phone on record (http://www.downtownliverpool.com/directoryentry.php?id=2884) is an old one. They're based in Seymour Chambers not far from TJs.

Toxteth.net has some info about the old gasworks in Caryl Street:

The Liverpool Echo of Nov. 29th 2004 has some details about this development from the London Eye architect...apartments from £90,000...they hoped to be finished by 2007.
This is classed as a Dingle development, but I'll bet it won't have an L8 postcode.
