I hope this is not taken for spam?saterday i took a small photo that had been in the wars one was bent down the centre and had cracked.wile the missus whent to the loo i waited by the photo counter,and on a wim I asked the girl behind the counter if she could do any thing with the photos.yes she ske could what size did i want,postcard size if poss.shall i pay you now,yes 20p each.in 10 minuets i had them no blure no crease.I'd been at it for weeks on my scaner and could not get a decent copy.so well do to asda photo dep.at 20p each.I still can't beleve it.:shock::shock:

Thank you for the offers lads.BUT the point I was trying to get across was how quick and cheep it is now.when you go back to film into boots
4 days later 20 fair pics 10 not so good 3 the sky 3 black £2.60.Thats what I meant to get across.all the hassle has been taken out,and you dont feel you have been robed blind.not taking away your skills and wizardry.again thanks for the offers.Ted

You can still pay a fortune to have them done. It happens to be my hobby but I just have problems trying to find damaged photos to work on. There seems to be a black market in them. If anyone wants any doing, send me a pm.

See if you can download the Akvis range of photograph enhancment tools,there's a few of em soley dedicated to each area of photo reparing.

I have quite a few old photo's that need restoring , i might bring them along to Asda ..

George, it's not a competition ya know. I'm sure H was happy enough with what UW had done, maybe u've done better or know of better techniques or tools, as u've mentioned in a later post but there's was no need to put down his effort down. so be nice :p

Ha ha, dont see one from you Georgieboy. I reckon mine is OK considering its only a £5 piece of software. Faces are notoriously difficult to fix because of shading as well as making people beautiful again.

The tear is fine but you shouldn't stop there.

I have more chance of finding rocking horse manure.

It can be done but a helluva time would have to be spent on this,I mean most of this would have to be done pixel by pixel.

Many Thanks U/W, I agree it's certainly in a bad state!! taken about 1954 and moved about quite a bit!!! Cheers mate.
ps. This was a TA unit, 165(w) CCS RAMC, based at Chavasse Barracks Wellington/Picton Rd, if anyone recognises themselves on it please let me know!

Thanks George, It certainly looks better in B&W. the pic was 'folded'up in a book at my mothers home, probably there for a few years!!! ps. Thats me, third from right ,standing!!

How do Norm.

Tears,folds and creases are not a problem,the problem arises when crayon marks are apparent on the photo,which this one has.
