I have found in my family history research that one of my ancestors lived in 5 house 5 court Duke Street.
I have the 1906 o/s map for central Liverpool and from census returns it appears that No 5 court was at the side of a Fire Station.
Does anyone have a larger scale map of this location to post on here or can recommend an o/s map appropriate for this query.
I have been told these courts are the actual back to back houses that had a make over a while ago, any photo,s would be great.
Thanks in advance.

Judging by my map showing the fire station and your description of the back to back housing on Dukes Terrace, Joe's pic hits the nail on the head.

Does anyone have a large scale map for this period and area that they can post up for me.
Failing that which Alan Godfrey large scale map covers this area ?

Godfrey Map Sheet 30 'Liverpool (Mount Pleasant) 1848' covers the area. Dukes Terrace is marked with its' original name 'Bridson's Buildings'.

Don't forget that the library will also have that same large scale for 1890 which will probably give the name you've got.
If it is indeed "Duke's Terrace" (which may never have been the correct name).

Thanks all,

I agree that Dukes Terrace will be the modern take on 'Bridson's Buildings' and Court No 5
