I doubt it very much.
The policy with the old buildings on Park Road seems to be to wait till they start falling down, then demolish just those.
Eventually, they will all be demolished (but it could take a few more years).
Like the gap between the Savings Bank and the pub.
I know the date the bank closed because I'd just moved to the Dingle in Feb 1991 and opened an account there.
They didn't tell me they were going to close in a couple of weeks!
I'll sort out a couple of photos I took of that stretch in about 1992.

I can remember a launderette and a hairdressers around that area.
Although the stone-work states 'Liverpool Savings Bank' it was the TSB when I remember it. I'm sure there are still other buildings of the 'Liverpool Savings Bank' surviving today...Scotland road I think was the Northern Branch. I'm sure there is another branch...Smithdown road or Garston. Of the old Liverpool Savings Bank buildings the Southern branch (Park rd) looks the worst. Another part of Liverpools' history left to rot.
I was around the back of these buildings (Malta st) last week, and they look even worse from there. Most of the 60's flats around there will be demolished aswell, eventually.

I must have been under five when I went.

Wonder if anyone recalls a wool shop - more or less opposite St Patricks church? I knew the people who ran the shop and I had a Saturday job there.
I'd love to see a picture of it to refresh my memory.
Not sure if that block of shops has gone now. It's a long time since I went past that way.
There were steps going up to the wool shop. I can't remember what other shops were on either side.

The bank is just visible on the far right of the close-up.
And it's the stone building with the tall chimneys on the other.

When you mentioned coming out of the sports centre, for some reason I thought of the original baths building in Steble Street. :)

It seems that the whole of the Park rd area to the south is being redeveloped and is looking better than previous. Not sure about town end though. The buildings should be put into use.

Admittedly, a lot has changed in the 15 years I've lived there, and much new stuff built, but it doesn't alter my point about some parts which are just left derelict for years, even decades.

The Southern part of Park rd. just doesn't seem the same without the old buildings e.g. the dark terraced housing that used to be here:

A couple of listed buildings (over the road from the grassed area) have been lost in the last few years, to be replaced with empty space/modern housing.

I didn't, but I took a few of the other side.

No, I never took any of those terraces... I've got to rely on a 'free' council leaflet to remind me of those terraces, which has a pic. I always meant to, I must have passed them thousands of times over the years.
There's a small pic here (taken the morning after the first fire in Liverpool during the Fire-Brigade strike a few years ago...this featured in the Liverpool Echo at the time as I can remember they said a man had to jump out of the building after someone set it alight. It also featured on the TV news as it was the first call-out for the Army at the time)

I think, Madges hairdressers was one and a sweet shop the other.

just been talking to mum and she said there was a wool shop facing st pats church, and a sweet shop. the wool shop was owned by someone called......oh god ive forgotten! cant remember the womans first name, but her second was temberly i think!
will ring her in a bit and get back!

When I had a saturday job the wool shop was run by Ivy Howarth.
Don't think she owned the premises, she may have rented the shop part.
I say this because the building was big and the back part had living quarters which was run by another lady who had students lodging there.
The woman who ran the wool shop lived elsewhere.

Perhaps the woman with student lodgers was called Temberly. I'm not sure what year Ivy retired from there - new owners could have been that name.
