Had to pick up a parcel at the Sorting office in Wavertree so thought the walk from the Tech Park would do me the world of good! As I got under the bridge in Wellington Road, the original entrance to what used to be Wavertree Station was open! Couldn't resist a nose so took a couple of pictures and a movie (PM if you want the movie with your e-mail addy).

Went back to work to check out sub brit and they'd already beaten me to it.... :)

(I think I was most impressed with the camera shots from a phone! The one I've got is better than me bloody digital camera haha)

Wellington Road - either from the High Street or Smithdown Road end in Wavertree - head up to the bridge and there's an iron door on the left hand side. This was open today and they're doing some sort of building work. It used to be the original entrance to the old Wavertree Station so I had a quick nose around. I need to get my digi camera out for some better shots at the weekend if it's not closed up again!

that's great jona!
It's amazing all the little nooks and crannies, that lay behind unused doors!

I recognise that part, by where there building new houses and the old rusty door under bridge has been opened since.

Hell yeah, screw the police.:PDT_Aliboronz_24:

Really? It will have to be rebuilt first!

The local transport plan says:

New Stations

B10 Maghull North
B11 Town Meadow
B12 Car Mill
B13 Vauxhall (Stanley Dock)
B14 Parliament Street (Chinatown)
B15 Otterspool
B16 Skelmersdale
B17 Woodchurch
B18 Deeside Industrial Park
B19 Beechwood
B20 Wavertree
B21 Greenbank Park (Penny Lane)
B22 Ditton
B23 Chapelford (for Omega)

So a new station at Penny Lane (not on the junction though). Wavertee, maybe Welington Rd. Parliament St (the station is there) and one at Stanley Dock.

We are waiting for stations at the ends of the Waterloo and Wapping Tunnels - and few stations cut into these tunnels too.

From what I have heard, Town Meadow (become thats Moreton for those who don't know!) won't be going ahead as the new station won't become viable in the long term. So that's been scrapped for the time being.

The other three are likely to be installed as part of the electrification of the "Borderlands" Line which runs between Bidston and Wrexham. To be honest, I am having a little bit of trouble with Woodchurch as the railway is on t'other side of the M53! That would really get the Noctorum lot if a station built on the Noccy estate was named Woodchurch!
