My Mum had piano lessons as a kid and it was the reason why she could pick up any musical instrument and knock out any tune that she knew really well. It skipped a generation in our family until our Paul decided he wanted a guitar about 8 years ago. We bought his first one (acoustic) in a music shop just across from Lewis'. My Mum, to my knowledge had never played guitar before, but once she messed around with the chords for a few minutes, she started playing something! Can't recall what it was. My lad has now gone on to be quite an accomplished guitarist and has played on a few tracks. His most recent was for Low Deep, a music producer in London

Me younger brother plays drums... I always had trouble with the kick pedal :D

I bought a Roland sp-80 and pedals for him to play when he comes around here.

Excellent via midi :D

Trumpet, Piano, bugle and 99% of the time play the fool!

Can sing too - and not an X-factor wannabe! Was in 3 choirs in my time!

my dad could play the double bass and bass guitar and sang - all professionally. I can sing but did not have the confidence to carry it off without a few down me!! It's a gift to play a musical instrument - you will never be short of money or parties to go to!! I love a good old banjo at a party.

Learning to play an instrument is something I've always wanted to do, but never got round to it. Unfortunate, as music is such a big part of my life. Used to sing in a band, would love to do that again.

I play piano and organ - I was classically trained and went to music college after school and studied the whole keyboard range (including harpsichord):did voice as a 'second' instrument.
