Tonight Gordon Ramsay is in a restaurant called 'Morgan's' in Liverpool.
( 9pm. Ch 4 )

This is how the program is described in TV Choice mag;

Gordon grapples with Morgan's family-run restaurant in Woolton NEAR Liverpool ..... ... well, they got that wrong didn't they ??

Woolton near Liverpool.

I remember Granada news saying Woolton Near Liverpool when they visited it's quarry once,it seems when they show nice parts of Liverpool they can't bring themselves to say it's here.I recently saw the Iron Men on Waterloo beach described as being in Lancashire, yes in 1973 they would have been.

They do it all the time with Formby nature reserve too,the citys reputation will never be restored if our leaders allow this too continue.

You would have thought this would have been brought to the producers attention by the owners wouldn't you?!

Yes definitely,i remember looking at the Pontins site in Ainsdale online and they also say they're in Lancashire how annoying is that.It seems they're scared to use Merseyside as their address and I think local politicians should be stamping this out(or maybe not as it's a dump),they're alright when it comes to taking our European money.:disgust:

Maybe a Merseyside Proud or Merseypride campaign, maybe we should post email addresses on Yo and agreed to send emails to the companies/agencies concerned.

Maybe a template similar to the ecards, some great pictures just lately any chance of some more ecards maybe a Yo Christmas ecard.

There was a change of program. Don't know why it wasn't shown but they announced it just before the start.

Clash of the tough nuts as Gordon comes to town

Gordon Ramsay finally met his match in Woolton.

HE'S the chef who doesn't think twice about making grown men cry, but when Gordon Ramsay came to Woolton, he found he'd almost bitten off more than he could chew.

And tonight, viewers of his Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares programme will see just how he fared when trying to help the three feisty women who run local restaurant Morgans.

If that's true its disapointing that people have to seek publicity in that way becuase that's what they 'expect'. Feisty hey? Every pic I've seen of them two, the younger one looks like she's auditioning for a part in Hollyoaks or her next magazine shoot or summink.

After watching tonite and recognizing Emma straight away, I was pleased with the portrayal of Liverpool and Woolton. Some good clips of the area. Woolton is beautiful, no doubt.

Laughing out loud at the 2 sisters (sisters doing it for themselves  ) and mother though, the one that Mr Ramsey spotted as manager was probably the smartest and least image obsessed out of the 3, the other blonde (more interested in the cameras) sister taking a deva stropp for half the programme. lol

The chef who was there at the beginning, proper scouse but was sacked, I supposed they had to show some kind of control however small. He ended up in Bar Blue? Learning his trade good and proper. He didn't stand a chance in Morgans though.

Entertaining programme.

The shots where Ramsey strutted his stuff on Everton Brow then suddenly returned to Woolton Village was a bit bizarre.

One of my lads picked up on it first. He knows Everton really well and wondered why he'd never seen this "Woolton Village place" before. Bless him! LOL!

Woolton is beautiful, no doubt.

So is the food in Sainsburies there.

Quality sausage rolls.

One of my favourite spots to ride down to Woolton and really quick to get to from Wavertree.:PDT_Aliboronz_24:

What a guy, I think he's f*cking ace. I'd probably cry if he shouted at me, but I think he is hilarious. I didn't recall anyone spitting though - when did that bit happen? I think spitting is disgusting, if someone did spit at him, that's just pathetic. If they didn't want his opinions, why appear on the show?:Colorz_Grey_PDT_24:

I don't think of anyone from Hollyoaks as f*cking being special, see them everywhere nor that Sheree Murphy - she isn't even from here is she? Is her husband in LFC?

Nice little place that restaurant, wouldn't mind going down there for a f*cking meal! Now f*ck off!

What a guy, I think he's f*cking ace. I'd probably cry if he shouted at me, but I think he is hilarious.

What I can't stand is the over-swearing. At first he would wsear to emphasis or when annoyed, now it every other word. Then all the chefs he visits feel they have to swear too. Those who hold off trom this keep teh high moral ground.

But Ramsay knows his stuff. This week and last he turned around two restaurants. But the problems were obvious in them. It always needs an outsider to spot them though as those involved are too close to it. This is where consultants matter. The places I have been brought into and the first impression is, sack the managers for being plain stupid. Most industrial disputes derives from bad management.

I only saw the last 15 mins last night, so I don't know how bad they were to begin with. Was it a family concern?

Kev

The family of 3 women had alkinds of issues goin on. He appointed one of the sisters (mature adults, one of them anyway) as manager and as he was doing so, the other one took a fit, they were sitting on swings in a playground at this point, Gordan Ransey took them there becuase the restraunt was like a playground. They were into the 'lifestyle' of it all rather than running a business of a restraunt.

I get a lot of good stuff from there, as you see I am outside the UK.

You need a bit torrent program, I use Azureus which is free for download.

Ramsay did Hells Kitchen in the USA. A competition for the best chef. Lots of effing and blinding. Ramsay was firmly in charge and chose the winners at each stage. He knows his business.

He has the knack of identifying personalities for various roles. He always looks for the leaders and those that can work under pressure. I imagine in his restaurant he delegates the lot and he just monitors, encourages and criticises (more wrath). He commands respect because he knows his stuff and speaks the language of the person he is dealing with - he knows what approach and manner will get the best out of a personality.

On one TV programme he wound a woman up so much, an actor celeb, she was crying and attempting to hit him. The way he dealt with it was excellent. His body language says most.

If you understand human nature and can manipulate it to your advantage, you are 90% there in any walk of life.

THE Liverpool chef who appeared in last night's episode of Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares is today behind bars. more (http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/liverpoolecho/news/echonews/tm_headline=tv-chef-is-arrested-%26method=full%26objectid=18219670%26siteid=50061-name_page.html)

Just watched the show, I enjoyed it, I thought the girl he made assistant manager should have been sent on her way, even though she is family. Anyone who can't take criticism and acts in that childish way can not be an asset to the business.

Finally got round to watching it last night. That younger sister thought she was bleedin' Christina Aguilera or something. How much make up? She had to tilt her head back to open her eyes LOL!
Ramsey should have f*cked her and her ma off and let the sensible one run the gaff. She'd have it sorted in no time. And as for the little dolly bird having a business studies degree-me @rse, she couldn't run a p!ss up in a brewery!!

Pleased that Liverpool has finally been shown for the beautiful city it really is, although why show the sh!tty areas in the opening few minutes?

A LIVERPOOL restaurant which starred on chef Gordon Ramsay's TV show is under police protection over fears it could be targeted by robbers.

Morgan's in Woolton is enjoying huge popularity since its appearance on Kitchen Nightmares.

But police fear the television exposure has also made it attractive to criminals. Officers have been escorting owner Sandra Morgan and her daughters Laura and Helen Kelly from the restaurant after closing in the past few weeks.

(a bit over the top perhaps? surely the police have better things to do with their time)

After seeing the programme, it's probably to prevent them from stabbing each other in the back! What a nasty bunch of women. Did you notice that there was no mention of the oul fella? He's probably buried underneath the patio.
