go to search and type in any family names. you just may find a relative that you never knew about. Or if you had a family story of someone who died in the wars then you may find them.

Great to see the photograph of your grandfather Bernard Hogan as a gunner in Malta in World War II and to read about his story. Thank you also for the links you have provided. I never knew my cousin Frank, my Auntie Mary's son, though I have written a poem about him (http://chrisgeorge.netpublish.net/Poems/CousinFrank.htm). As I state in the poem, I knew him from the photograph on Auntie Mary's sideboard, wearing his sheepskin flying jacket standing in front of the Lancaster bomber he flew to Germany, where he was killed. Through the wonders of the internet, I was, though able to have a view of the cemetery in Germany where he is buried. It occurs to me that this was something that Auntie Mary, who passed away a number of years ago, probably never saw.

Thanks, Tony. I believe I have located him, and think he was Flight Sergeant Frank Norman, killed June 13, 1943 and buried in REICHSWALD FOREST WAR CEMETERY (http://www.cwgc.org/search/certificate.aspx?casualty=2040740) (999350, 50 Sqdn., Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve). Sgt Norman is one of three Frank Normans (http://www.cwgc.org/search/SearchResults.aspx?surname=Norman&initials=F&war=2&yearfrom=1941&yearto=1945&force=Air&nationality=6&send.x=40&send.y=11) in the GWGC files -- since he is clearly not one of the other two, by their parents names listed, I think I have the right man.
