It's quite possible because the Tories don't have much support around these parts and haven't had any for decades. The Labour Party has given up on the working class and the working class have reciprocated in recent elections. The Lib-Dems could do well because one-time voters of the other dead beat parties will do what they've done in the last few General Elections and stay at home doing something more useful like drinking tea, ironing, watching the box etc.
