Me and my bestest new friend Ricky:Colorz_Grey_PDT_16:
Actually, I'd only met him 5 minutes before. I knew his agent better. I was a bit hungover at the time and was kneeling in the pic which made me look like a dwarf! I got his actor mate Ozzie Yue (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0950687/) to take the pic of us. Some of you more mature members may recall Ozzie as the lead guitarist in Supercharge. I asked Ozzie what he was doing there and he replied "I'm just here to heckle the c--t!" LOL!

He was Mr Yin, Simon. I remember him in Father Ted, but got the character name from his link (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0950687/)
BTW, Father Ted? I'm laughing aloud as I'm typing this message, just thinking about the programme.

Father Ted deserves a whole thread of it's own Simon. I'm still laughing thinking about it. Much the same as when I think about the great Tommy Cooper:)

Dave, his agent, what was his name?
Kev, it's John Boase. He lives in Netherton.
BTW, when Ricky's Christmas My Arse video comes out, look out for the lad playing the blow up saxaphone. That's John. John's brother Tony will be the one dressed up as Father Christmas:PDT_Aliboronz_24:

Kev, it's John Boase.

That's the fella - I have tried to get in touch with him about the www.rickytomlinson.com website that shut down all of a sudden, just wondered why...

John's just so busy doing others things, he didn't have time to keep the site updated. Plus his missus has terrible back pain which has disabled her, so he cares for her as well. He's a top man if you're ever stuck for a Liverpool FC ticket, btw:PDT_Aliboronz_24:

Sound Dave, thanks for clearing that up. I always wondered....he had a nice community forum there, wonder what happened to the members? Hm....

I had a 5x bypass 4 years ago, it used to be a big deal but so many have been done it is now a routine procedure. I won't pretend that it is fun but it wasn't as bad to endure as I expected.
I'm not his biggest fan but I hope all goes well and Ricky has a speedy recovery.
P.S. The good thing about it, they scared me into giving up my 60 a day habit that I had enjoyed for almost 50 years, :handclap:

Sorry to hear that Shy. Good luck to Ricky a great man. As you say Shy this isn't as difficult an op as it used to be.

Liverpool actor Ricky Tomlinson: Let me clear my name
Mar 11 2009
by Greg O'Keeffe, Liverpool Daily Post

RICKY TOMLINSON last night welcomed growing Parliamentary pressure to win justice for the Shrewsbury 24 flying pickets.

MPs backed a Commons motion urging a full public inquiry into the 1973 conviction of building trade workers, including Royle Family TV star Mr Tomlinson.

They were charged under anti-picket legislation enforced during the previous year's construction strike by the then-Tory government of Ted Heath.

The motion, tabled yesterday by Labour Left-wingers, branded the prosecutions as "politically motivated and a gross miscarriage of justice."
